Existing checkers run 80–95 automated checks on structure, language, citations and metadata. Useful — but they report against a generic standard, and cannot tell you whether this paper belongs in this journal.
Editing and pre-submission services are genuine, and cost $39–230 with 72-hour turnarounds at best. They're also positioned around language and compliance, not fit.
These are different failures with different fixes. Sending the same manuscript to the next journal without knowing which one you hit is how people lose six months.
